Respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has formally declared its unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While addressing newsmen, the President General of ONC, Amb. Emeni Ibe JP AP, reaffirmed the commitment of the Congress to mobilize the entire Orashi region in favour of Governor Fubara, regardless of the political platform he may choose in 2027.
According to him, the Orashi bloc has a proven record of political loyalty and collective action, noting that their decisive support contributed significantly to previous electoral victories.
“We have done it before in 2023, and we will do it again come the 2027 elections,” Amb. Ibe stated.
“The Orashi region stands firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The Congress stands strongly with the Sir Siminalayi Fubara/Prof Ngozi Odu ticket. Even if the Governor decides to run on a different party’s platform, the Orashi people will still mobilize massively for him.”
Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe emphasized that the Congress is committed to ensuring peace, unity, and progressive leadership in Rivers State and Nigeria, stressing that the region’s political direction remains focused on development and good governance.
The declaration further solidifies ONC’s influence ahead of the coming electoral season, positioning the Orashi region as a major political force as preparations for 2027 intensify.
