Orashi National Congress Pays Courtesy Visit To AMMC Coordinator, Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah

A strong voice in the Niger Delta struggle and respected socio-cultural group, Orashi National Congress, ONC, has paid a courtesy visit to the Coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, AMMC, Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah, in his office in FCT, Abuja.

 

The ONC delegation, which was led by their President General, Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, said they were appreciative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for considering an Orashi son and leader worthy of the appointment in the administration of the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking on behalf of the ONC during the visit on Monday 27th May, 2024, Snr. Comrade Amb. Emeni Ibe said, “The Orashi National Congress wishes to use the opportunity afforded by this visit to convey the appreciation of the good people of Orashi Region, Rivers State, which comprises Ahoada East, Ahoada West, Abua Odual, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs to Mr. President for finding an Orashi son worthy to occupy the exalted office as the Coordinator of the AMMC”.

 

“We hereby pledge our cooperation and total support for His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, President And Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are here to identify with you as an illustrious son and leader of Orashi Region in Rivers State and to extend our deepest appreciation to His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, POS AFRICA, Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Our people in Orashi Region shall remain ever grateful to him.”

“The Orashi National Congress is an independent socio-cultural umbrella organization of Orashi people, whose aims and objective among others are the advocation for sustainable security and preaching of peace, national unity and justice particularly to enlighten and mobilize Orashi people to always use dialogue in resolving conflicts and consulting with security agencies.”

 

“We in the ONC target and focus to contribute our quota towards bettering the society by creating a conducive industrial environment with the objective of actualizing the ideals of a better society and the reduction of crimes like cultism, pipeline vandalization, youth restiveness and terrorism etc.”

In his remarks, the AMMC Coordinator, Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah, thanked the ONC for the visit and identifying with him.

He also commended the group for their efforts and time in agitating for peace and development of the Orashi region. The seasoned administrator promised to support the peace and security initiatives of the ONC geared towards the betterment of the Orashi people.
