Star players of Nigerian Super Eagles, players in the domestic league and some governors make their ways into the nomination list of the 10th Nigeria Pitch Awards as announced by the organisers in Lagos on Thursday.
The likes of reigning African footballer of the year award winner, Victor Osimhen of Napoli FC of Italy, Victor Boniface of Bayern Leverkusen in Germany make nominees for the King of the Pitch award.
The Queen of the Pitch has Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade and Chiamaka Nnasozi, while Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Al-Hassan Yusuf are nominated for the Midfielder of the Year award.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State are nominated for Football Friendly Governor of the Year award.
