OSODIEME…A WONDERFUL WOMAN INDEED!

I watched on Channels television recently when a woman who was mentally challenged for over 38 years was rehabilitated, empowered and handed over to her family through the pet project (CAFE) of Her Excellency Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, I stood aghast. I became interested the activities of this non governmental organization called CAFE. I am still appalled at my discoveries. The organization has built and delivered bungalows to over 15 indigent widows and the elderly in different parts of Anambra state including a widow from my great town, AMICHI.

I visited a 90 years old woman from Agulu who benefitted from this humble gifts from Her Excellency. This woman expressed joy and solidly said that she never expected this type of gift in her lifetime. She couldn’t believe that it was true until the contractor started working on the building. From her words, she said that she believed that Her Excellency is an angel sent to Anambra to salvage the poor and the needy. She was full of praises for Her Excellency and her family. The old woman said that she have been praying without ceasing for the long live, good health and wisdom for Her Excellency Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano and her husband His Excellency, Chief Dr Willie M. Obiano.

The most passionate one is that of Mrs Chinyeaka Okeke, a widow from Ebenator Okpala village, Amichi. When I visited her, she broke into tears of joy as we were discussing about Her Excellency’s passionate gift. She said that help was not forthcoming not even from her husband’s relatives who are amongst top 10 players in businesses and property development in Nigeria. None of them deemed her worthy of their benevolence because she refused to part with her husband’s lands for them to acquire. Another side of it is that she was not even a member of APGA but she was found worthy to benefit from this rare gift. One of her children said “MUMMY, ANTS NO LONGER BITE US”. It was a very passionate encounter. Today, a bungalow, a complementary borehole and 5,000 liters overhead tank are for the family free of charge , courtesy of CAFE established and natured by Her Excellency Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme). It was a glorious thing and worthy of commendation.

Osodieme has two biological children but as at today, she has adopted 3 more orphans which the last one is named Moses. Moses was dumped in a dustbin by the mother. May God bless Osodieme. God knows why you are the wife of our hardworking governor. Your complementary role is enormous and seriously commendable.

Ndi Anambra are yet to see the best of Osodieme.
