Billionaire businessman and Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Mr. Femi Otedola, has received Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, in a private meeting centred on strengthening collaboration between FirstBank and the Ogun State Government.
Otedola made the meeting public on Monday via his social media handles, with photos showing the duo in warm conversation on Sunday.
He described Abiodun as a longstanding friend and lauded his administration’s performance in Ogun State.
The billionaire businessman wrote: “Yesterday I received my dearest brother of over 3 decades and the performing Governor of Ogun State @dapoabiodunmfr. We shared discussions on areas of further collaboration between First Bank and Ogun State.
“I appreciate him for the exemplary and focused leadership he has provided for the past 7 years and 6 months for the good people of Ogun State.”
Details of the proposed areas of collaboration were not disclosed.
Governor Abiodun, who assumed office in May 2019, is currently serving his second term following his re-election in 2023.
Otedola, who chairs First HoldCo Plc, the parent company of FirstBank, has continued to consolidate his shareholding in the financial group through his investment vehicle, Calvados Global Services Limited.
In August 2026, he acquired an additional 95.7 million shares valued at N12.58 billion, raising his total stake in First HoldCo to 27.70 percent.
