It was a day of celebration for the Ottasolo All-Stars football team after defeating Ikola All-Stars football team 2-0 in a penalty shootout to win the annual Greenland All-Stars Tourney.
The final, which was watched by a mammoth crowd, took place on Monday at Abesan football pitch, Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.
To reach the final stage, Ottasolo All-Stars played 1-1 with Ifako- Ijaiye All-Stars and went ahead to beat Greenland All-Stars Team B 2-0, while Ikola All-Stars walloped Jalisco All Stars 2-0 and beat Greenland All-Stars Team A 2-1 to book a place in the final.
The final match was very tough as both teams gave good accounts of themselves before Ottasolo All-Stars won through penalties after a barren draw at the regulation time.
