*We Must Not Surrender Our Nation Yo Terror,  He Said

I receive with profound gratitude and immense relief the news of the safe rescue of the school children and their teachers who were abducted in Oyo State. Today, countless families can once again embrace their loved ones. The tears of uncertainty have given way to tears of joy, and for that, we give thanks to Almighty God.

The nightmare of kidnapping leaves scars that cannot easily be measured. Beyond the days spent in captivity are the emotional wounds carried by children, parents, teachers and entire communities. As a nation, we rejoice with every rescued victim, but we also recognize that true healing will require compassion, support and time.

On behalf of the All Progressives Congress National Youth Wing, I congratulate and commend our gallant security personnel whose professionalism, courage, intelligence and sacrifice made this outcome possible. Whether in uniform or behind the scenes gathering intelligence, these brave men and women continue to demonstrate that Nigeria possesses security personnel who are prepared to put their lives on the line for the safety of others.

I equally appreciate the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose continued commitment to strengthening our security architecture is yielding measurable results across different parts of our country. While much work remains to be done, this successful rescue reinforces our collective belief that sustained investment in intelligence, technology, inter agency collaboration and operational capacity is the right path towards restoring lasting peace and security.

To the kidnappers and every criminal who has chosen the path of violence, let this rescue send a clear message. Nigeria will never bow before terror. Those who make innocent children their targets, who traumatize families for profit and who seek to spread fear across our communities have declared themselves enemies of humanity. They have no moral justification, no social excuse and no place in our society. The full weight of the law must continue to pursue them relentlessly until every criminal network is dismantled and every community is free from the fear of abduction.

Our security agencies must see this success not as the end of a mission but as renewed motivation. Every successful operation strengthens public confidence. Every rescued victim reminds us why this difficult work matters. The Nigerian people stand firmly behind our armed forces, our intelligence services, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local vigilance structures and every patriotic citizen working to protect our nation. We encourage even greater synergy, stronger intelligence gathering, deeper community engagement and more proactive measures to prevent future attacks before they occur.

To parents across Nigeria, I understand the fears that incidents like this create. Every parent deserves the confidence that when a child leaves home for school, that child will return safely. Every teacher deserves to educate without fear. Every community deserves to live in peace. We must never allow criminality to rob our children of their education or our nation of its future.

To the rescued children and their teachers, Nigeria celebrates your courage. Your resilience in the face of unimaginable fear inspires us all. May God grant you complete healing, restore your strength and surround you with love as you recover from this painful experience.

This moment should strengthen our national resolve rather than weaken it. Our country has overcome difficult seasons before, and we shall overcome this one as well. Together, with determined leadership, courageous security personnel, vigilant communities and the unwavering resilience of the Nigerian people, we will continue to push back against those who seek to undermine our peace.

Nigeria belongs to the forces of hope, not fear. It belongs to our children, not to kidnappers. It belongs to law abiding citizens, not to criminals. And by the grace of God, we shall continue to build a nation where every child can learn in safety, every family can sleep in peace and every community can look to the future with confidence.

May God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
