Pastor Arrested For Killing Member During Deliverance

Pastor Dominic Michael of the Celestial Church of Christ has landed in trouble after he was arrested for allegedly killing his member, a 25-year old Miss Ramat Audu during a purported deliverance session inside the church in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the Celestial Church, Jesu Segun Parish, at Santana bus stop, Ajangbadi area of Lagos where the church was located.

The police arrested the 34-year old Pastor Michael, detained him at the State Command and he is now facing a charge for murder over the death of the victim, who reportedly died in his purported attempt to heal her.

The suspect who is from Benin Republic was paraded alongside the deceased’s lover, one Mr. Ifeanyi Enyinaya who resided at Iya Lekan Street in Shibiri area by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal at the Police Command.

The police boss said that the Command received complaint from one Ibrahim Audu of 22 Unity Crescent, Akesan, Igando that his sister, Ramat Audu who lived with his boy friend, Mr. Ifeanyi Enyinaya was taken to the church for healing from an undisclosed illness. He said that at the church, the pastor administered some concoctions comprising honey, lime and other substances he did not understand their chemical composition which killed the victim.

CP Edgal said that based on the development, the DPO Ilembe Hausa, CSP Musa Anim led a team of detectives to the scene, arrested Pastor Michael and the deceased’s boy friend, Mr. Enyinaya and detained them at the police station for interrogations.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police also recovered some native sponges, perfumes and candle sticks as exhibits, the corpse was retrieved and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.

The police boss said that the suspects have been handed over to the homicide department at SCIID, Panti, Yaba for further investigations. The CP advised members of the public to be mindful of the way they take their relations to churches for healing, whereas such patients were supposed to be taken to the hospital for treatment as was recognised by the law.

At the Police Command, Pastor Michael narrated that the deceased was brought to him for healing. He prepared the substances, gave her to drink and he was surprised that after she drank she became unconscious and died.

The police boss said that they will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations by the homicide department.
