The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State has pleaded with the people and electorates of the state to vote en masse for PDP candidates in the state assembly elections scheduled to hold on March 18, 2023.
The call was made in Awka by Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, Director, PDP Presidential Campaign Committee in Anambra State, through Uloka Chukwubuike, Deputy Director, Media and Publicity.
Professor Okonkwo urged electorates and people of the state to give support to assembly candidates and help the party retain and secure more seats at the Anambra State Assembly.
He added that the PDP parades an array of quality candidates across the thirty (30) assembly constituencies in the state and urged the people to support and sustain democracy by voting for candidates capable of delivering sound and robust legislation instead of rubber-stamp legislators.
Professor Okonkwo praised the people for their continued support of the PDP, urged them to be confident that the PDP would reclaim its mandate and presidential victory in court, and sought greater support for the party’s state assembly candidates in Anambra State to keep the party afloat.
Only the PDP party candidates can work to ensure that the Executive delivers on its responsibility; hence, candidates of the party must be supported to win seats in the Anambra State Assembly.
He further called for overall support of the PDP in areas of the South East where the party has candidates, insisting that the PDP still remains the best and only solution to freedom from the present hardships that stir Nigerians in the face.
Those who left or worked against the party in the previous election over perceived wrongs are prevailed upon to return home to the PDP and help the party secure victory, as the party will continue to partner with every Nigerian to fix and salvage our nation.
He reiterated that the PDP means a lot to the Southeast people, and we must do everything within our reach to protect and sustain it.
