To address the various challenges in the entertainment industry and proffer relevant solutions, the Organisers of the Pacesetter Entertainment and Recognition Awards (PERA) has created a new entertainment conference.
In a statement, the debut confab will hold on Thursday, August 22 by 10a.m in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
According to Mr. Rotimi Martins, ace musician popularly known as ‘Alariwo’, and Covener, PERA, the conference will have notable media and entertainment personalities including Mr. Edmund Obilo as the Keynote speaker, as well Ms. Azuka Ogujioba, publisher, MediaRoomHub, Mr. Jide Taiwo, formerly of Net.ng, Tosin Odita, Funke Ogunshola and Dare Adekambi of Tribune among others as Speakers.
The theme for the conference, which is free but registration is compulsory, is “The Growth Of Entertainment Via Social Media.”
PERA, which is now in its third year was established to acknowledge, encourage and celebrate excellence amongst indigenes and residents of Oyo State, who have made an indelible mark in their chosen careers.
Martins noted that the award committee recognises the role of culture and entertainment in the economy of any State, hence the reason for creating the award.
To usher in the third Edition of the Awards which comes up on Sunday, December 8 at Jogor Centre, Ibadan, the organisers, have decided to organise the talk shop to discuss vital issues in the entertainment industry in the pace-setter State.
