Knowing the enormous task ahead, Team Lagos athletes have been busy putting their acts together at the ongoing closed camp ahead of their participation in the 6th National Youth Games taking place in Ilorin, Kwara State, north-central Nigeria, beginning from Sunday, 10 October.
The athletes, 260 in numbers are camped at Anglican House Hostel, Bariga, with rigorous training schedules mapped out by the Lagos State Sports Commission to get the athletes battle-ready for the Games where Lagos State will be taking part in 33 sporting activities.
The training is being handled by seasoned coaches and technical officers of the sports commission who have been mandated by the Director-General, Oluwatoyin Gafaar to give the athletes the best of the training in their various sports.
The camp is like a home away from home for the athletes who show enthusiasms and cooperation to learn new things from their coaches.
