Two ladies, Kofowodola Savage, 32 and Lola Onifade, 38, have been arrested in Lagos for allegedly engaging in a public fight over a man.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at about 7.30pm at Onitoro Street, Surulere, Lagos, where they reside.

According to their neighbours, initially, the cause of fight was not known until they were taken to the Police Station, where the real cause of fight was revealed.

The Police sources stated the one of the ladies, Lola, reportedly slapped Kofoworola over suspicion that she was trying to snatch her lover and inflicted injury on her.

This resulted into a public fight between the duo before the Police apprehended and detained them at the Surulere Division for affray.

They were subsequently charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty.

They pleaded not guilty before the Court.

The prosecutor then asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. T. O. Abayomi, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

However, they were remanded in Correctional Centre pending when they will perfect their bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 9th August, 2021, for mention.
