Police Arrest Boy, 16, Over Sex With Girl, 5

Police operatives from the Isheri Oshun Division in Lagos State have arrested a 16-year old boy, who was allegedly caught having sex with a 5-year old by the girl’s mother.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ballow Jakoma Close, Ijegun area of Lagos, where they reside.

After his arrest, he was transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos, through the aid of a Non Governmental Organization known as Women’s Rights and Health Project.

The little girl was said to have fallen prey to the sex starved boy when her mother asked her to go and wash her hands outside before she will eat.
As the girl went to wash her hand as directed by the mother, the boy lured her to a corner and inserted his finger into her private part before he penetrated her.

While the mother waited for the girl to come back and eat, she sent the girl’s sister to go outside and look for her but the sister, who did not see the victim, reported back to their mother and she became curious as to why the girl had stayed for so long just to wash her hands.

The mother went outside to look for her and eventually saw her by the corner the boy had taken her to molest her.
The girl’s mother discovered that sperm was coming out from her private part, asked to know who did it, and she mentioned the boy.

The matter was reported to the Police and the boy was detained for interrogation when he was said to have confessed.
The boy risks several years of imprisonment if he is charged to Court, tried and found guilty for the alleged defilement despite his age in line with the laws of Lagos State.

When P.M.EXPRESS reporter contacted the Gender Section of the Police Command, a source said he will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigations.

The boy and the girl’s name were withheld in line with the policy of P.M.EXPRESS to protect them as minors.
