Police Bust Notorious Syndicate Snatching Exotic Cars & SUVs In FCT

Police operatives from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command, have recorded another success by busting members of a notorious syndicate snatching SUVs and exotic cars in Abuja and its environs.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects undergoing interrogation over their alleged conduct.
She identified the suspects as Solomon Fanen Manger and Solomon Yande, both from Benue State, who have confessed to the Police to being long-time members of a syndicate which specialised in the theft of high-value vehicles, particularly Toyota Prado SUVs and Toyota Hilux trucks.
The image maker stated that the suspects were arrested by the Police operatives attached to the Scorpion Squad, who trailed and arrested the two notorious car-snatching suspects in an operation carried out between 19th August and 21st August, 2025, while acting on credible digital intelligence.
She said that the suspects admitted to have operated mainly around Wuse, Garki, and the Central Area of the nation’s capital.
Within August alone, SP Adeh stated that the suspects allegedly stole three Toyota Prado SUVs, two white Toyota Hilux vehicles, and one black Toyota Camry, which they sold for between N7 million and N8 million each.
“The suspects further confessed that their gang leader, one “Alhaji” (real name unknown), operates from Niger Republic, where he receives the stolen vehicles.”
“Their arrest led to the recovery of a stolen Toyota Hilux with registration number FCTA 13B100CT, their operational black Toyota Matrix with registration number ABC 85 NW, an electronic car jammer, and five (5) rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition”, she said.
The Police PRO stated that a similar incident occurred on August 22, 2025, when operatives of Karu Division were on routine surveillance patrol around NEPA Quarters, Karu.
She said the operatives intercepted one Daniel Oguata of Kogi State while attempting to steal a Toyota Picnic vehicle with registration number RBC 322 JR.
“The suspect was arrested, and the exhibit recovered.
All suspects are in custody and will be charged to Court upon the conclusion of investigations”, she added.
