The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, may have sounded it clear to bandits that there is no hiding place following fierce operations by officers led by Divisional Police Officer attached to Aswani Division, CSP Oyin Fracess, and repelled the dreaded ‘One Minute Boys’ in Isolo area of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the ‘One Minute Boys’ on Monday blocked Akinbayade Street and other adjoining streets in the area caused violence by breaking bottles and using other dangerous weapons.
However, when the DPO, CSP Oyin, received the report of the activities of the hoodlums, who were said to have even started looting shops, carting away goods, attacking the residents and rival group in the area, she mobilized her officers to the scene, repelled their attack and some of them escaped.

It was gathered that in the process, the bandits attacked a Senior Police officer, injured him and he was taken to an undisclosed hospital, where the doctors are battling to save his life.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that while the mayhem was on, other Police officers from various Divisions including operatives of FSARS, raced to the scene. Before then, 11 suspects, who were said to be members of the gang, had been arrested and handed over to the FSARS for further investigation.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana. He said that the CP, Odumosu, has made it clear that criminal elements have no space to operate in Lagos and he had put up some strategic measures to ensure that Lagos is safe.
He said investigation was ongoing and the suspects will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation.

Meanwhile, members of the gang were said to have fled and deserted Isolo as the Police were said to have declared war against them and peace have eventually returned to the area.
Some of the suspects arrested were Sodiq Wahab, 30, Ernest Okoro, 24, Hassan Ogunremi, 45, Samiu Ajasa, 33, Azeez Waisu, 29, Hakeem Olawole, 31, Jimoh Idowu, 20 and others.
DSP Elkana said that the suspects will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation while efforts were being made to arrest other gang members now at large.
