A Police officer, Chinedu Nwachukwu, will soon be arraigned in Court over the alleged rape of a female student of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the move for the arraignment of the Police Corporal, Nwachukwu, followed his dismissal by Nigeria Police Force authorities.
He was reportedly dismissed on Tuesday after an orderly room trial in Umuahia, Abia State.
According to CP Janet Agbede, Commissioner of Police Abia State Command, the Police Corporal, Nwachukwu, was found guilty of the rape allegation, which he allegedly committed last week.
The Police boss said the administrative procedure, which among other things included the orderly room trial and subsequent dismissal, prepared him for prosecution in the Court of Law.
