After the violence, killing of officers and destruction of Police Stations occasioned by the purported hijack of the #EndSARS protest by hoodlums, Police officers across Lagos State are fully back to their duty posts for the security of lives and properties.

The return of the officers to duty came with the assurance of better policing and protection of innocent and law-abiding citizens in the State.

The agitation for Police Reforms, which almost ravaged most cities in the country, eventually escalated and gave way for hoodlums hired to disturb and unleash terror on innocent Police officers on duty to have a field day as the bitterness was taken to their different stations where about twelve Police Stations were all burnt in Lagos State and some unfortunate officers killed at their duty posts.

This wanton situation took Police men off their duty posts and stations for fear of being killed. But on Thursday 29th October, 2020, the Lagos State Police Command assured the people of the state of the presence of Police personnel on duty at various locations across the state contrary to the news making waves that the Police have abandoned their duties.

According to the Police Spokesperson, SP Adejobi Olumuyiwa, who sent the release on behalf of the Lagos CP, he said, “We have embarked on convoy patrol, Aberdeen system and traffic control. The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has reassured Lagosians of better policing despite the recent challenges the Command faced”.
