Police Officers, who were returning from a National assignment in Edo State, were reportedly involved in an auto crash along the Benin-Ore Expressway in Ondo State, resulting in the death of 3 officers.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the officers were on their way back to base following the conclusion of the Governorship election in Edo State when the vehicle conveying them and their colleagues to Lagos State was involved in an accident at Ore, Ondo State.
It was confirmed that while some officers survived, with some sustaining varying degrees of injury, 3 Policemen were discovered dead at the scene of the accident.
The remains of the dead were said to have been deposited at the Ore General Hospital’s mortuary, Ondo State.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the affected Police officers were involved in a fatal crash while returning from a National assignment.
