The purported inauguration of a fake Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State and plans of making Chief Sunday Ossai the pseudo President may have been hit the brick wall and cancelled after the Police intelligence team from Alagbon on Thursday picked up Chief Ossai and Chief Oliver Akubueze over plans to cause breach of public peace in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS had reported that Chief Ossai and Akubueze including some members of the cabals within the Igbo circle had concluded plans to inaugurates a fake Ohanaeze Ndigbo in total disregard to the High Court judgement, which confirmed Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene as the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Thus, they had circulated invitation cards inviting members of the public to Muson Center at Onikan, Lagos, for the purported inauguration, which the Igbo in Lagos State had cancelled but they still went ahead to organize it.
Their summons followed an intelligence reports that Ossai and Akubueze had concluded plans to hire both Igbo and non Igbo to the fake inauguration in order to make Chief Ossai, who had been swindled of millions of Naira and promised to be made the President of Ohanaeze in Lagos State, a non-vacant position.
According to Police sources, the duo were to explain why they had wanted to cause breach of public peace in disregard to a Court judgement that declared Solomon Ogbonna Aguene as President till 2026, which has been accepted by the Igbo stakeholders in Lagos State.
It was gathered that the Police operatives picked Chief Ossai and equally went to Chief Akubueze’s house at Ikeja to get him but he was said to have mobilized suspected thugs and resisted honouring the invitation.
When it was obvious that there may be breakdown of law and order in his house if the Police insisted to use maximum force,  the Police applied discretion and they were made to sign an undertaking to report to Alagbon on Friday (Today) for interrogation over their conduct.
Meanwhile, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Solomon Aguene, has filed another suit before the Court asking to Court to jail Chief Ossai and Akubueze for contempt by going ahead to conduct a kangaroo election and declaring Ossai as President with other executives in total disregard to subsisting Lagos State Court judgment.
Reacting over the development, the Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Political Forum, Chief Chris Ekwilo, confirmed and stated that the duo and their accomplices deliberately turned themselves to jail birds by setting aside a Court judgment, which they do not have the locus and capacity to do.
Ekwilo explained that if they were not happy with the Consent Judgment, they would have gone back to the Court and set it aside. He regretted the desperation of the so called members of cabals and sympathized with Chief Ossai for being deceived and swindled millions of Naira under the false pretence of handing him a non-existing position as the Ohanaeze President in Lagos State.
The Chief of Staff to the Ohanaeze President, Chief Thompson Ohia, also confirmed the development and stated that the President, Chief Solomon Aguene, will be at Alagbon with some Igbo stakeholders to know why they should disregard the Court judgment making mockery of Ndigbo in Lagos State as lawless people.
When Chief Akubueze was contacted on his known phone number for comments, it was switched off while Ossai could not be reached suggesting that they may have gone into hiding.

  • The duo of Chief Ossai and Akubueze should be mature enough and obey court order.
Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene is the recognized President of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos.
Any contrary behavior amount to disobedience to court order, which punishment can land you in jail.
No one is above the law, be warned.
