Pope’s Same Sex Marriage Remix

ORI MARTINS
I have been sick ever since I read what the Pope said on same sex marriage.
First, I thought he was quoted out of context, out of point. Or, he was being used by agents of destabilization as it is usually the case.
Therefore, I launched a journalistic inquisition and my checks and findings as carried by the official Vatican newspaper, confirmed it. The Pope urged Catholic priests to “bless same sex marriage”. I was shocked!!!
Honestly, I lack words to pen my thought down. This is because I am confused hence I don’t want to go into details. The Pope couldn’t have made such a declaration on such a critically sensitive matter the support of Rome Authorities.
We must find the contextual meaning of blessing same sex marriage. Is it to pray God to forgive them as Pope John Paul did to his attacker about 1981? Is it to seal and consecrate the marriage or is it simply to let the “couple” understand the gravity of their sin? I don’t really know.
As long as Nigeria is concerned, the most vocal, most visible and most respected Catholic priest, is Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah. We need Kukah to come clearly to tell us what the Pope meant. For now, his submission is still shrouded in innuendos, poetic lines and proverbial lyrics.
This is vital in order to save the Pope to save himself and for the safety of the Church and the multitude of the global Catholics.
