The owner of a popular eatery in Lagos, known as Kingstine-Jo, Mrs.  Chika Obika, narrowly escaped death after three armed men stormed the head office of the food joint, rounded up everyone, robbed and attempted to assassinate her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the eatery at Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo area of Lagos, where the head office was located.

It was gathered that three suspected bandits stormed the office with two pistols and five live ammunition, pointed the guns on her head, robbed her of N280,000 and were about to carry out their other motive before they ran out of luck. The security within the premises of the eatery reportedly dislodged them and arrested two of the suspects namely Pascal James, 30 and Amaechi James, 29, while one of the suspects managed to escape and now at large.
The two pistols and live ammunition were recovered from them as exhibits and handled over to the Police at Ilasamaja Division for further investigation.
After interrogation, the two suspects, Pascal and Amaechi, were charged before the Isolo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and armed robbery.
The Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Supol Rita Momah, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP because it was a case of armed robbery and the Police recovered arms and ammunition from the suspects.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Adegite, ordered the defendants to be remanded in prison custody pending the outcome of the DPP report and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
When P.M.EXPRESS correspondent visited the eatery to speak with the victim, Mrs. Chika Obika, the security guard said she was not in the office. However, they confirmed the incident and said that the matter was reported to the Police, who have taken over the investigation.
