Two suspects believed to be senior staff members of a popular transport company, known as God Is Good Motors, have been arrested in Lagos for allegedly swindling the company to the tune of N9m.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the transport company’s branch office located at Akowonjo area of Lagos, where the suspects, Adeoye Azeez, 38 and Tina Sika, F, 32, worked before now.

The Police did not state how the suspects had access to the money but alleged that they conspired with four other persons now at large to commit the alleged offence.

When the transport company’s management discovered the alleged fraud, they involved the Police, who then trailed the suspects and arrested them for interrogation over the missing money; but they were not able to account for the money.

The Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing.

They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Audu Yahaya, asked the Court to give a short adjournment for hearing to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. E. O. Ogunkanmi, granted them bail in the sum of N3m each with two sureties in like sum.

They were remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town in Lagos pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned till 1st April, 2021, for mention.
