Defending champions, MS Success Football Club OF Mushin would begin their title defence against Shola FC in the opening match of Extra Quality Pre- Season football competition which begins on Thursday evening at Eko Boys High School, Mushin, Lagos.
At the draw ceremony held yesterday, MS Success would play opening match against Shola FC as the title holders would be under pressure to deliver in a knockout format tourney sponsored by Extra Quality Plywood.
In other fixtures, Utility Sport FC would face Jumez International on Friday. Three matches would be played on Saturday when SGH Sports FA face King Spur, FC Robo Warrior tackle Skibanj FC, while Wilson International battle Brenner Sports.
Action resumes on Monday as Toma face Sateck, while Diadem Stallion trade tackle with FC Brave on Tuesday.
Reacting to the draw, MS Success coach, Tayo Orogbemi remained confident that his team would go for victory against Shola FC. He said his team have prepared well for the tournament boasted that his team would approach the game with all seriousness.
“We are formidable team and we cannot afford to lose our opening match against Shola FC. We have prepared well and we have played series of friendly matches so I am confident in my players and they are ready to give their best in the competition,” he said.
Chairman Organizing Committee, Musbau Oseni has urged the participating teams to play to the rules and ovoid disciplinary action. He revealed that certified referees would officiate all the matches without favour or bias.
