The 2023 appropriation bill, as passed by the National Assembly, has been signed by the President, Muhammadu Buhari, today 3rd January, 2023.
President Buhari noted that by signing the 2023 budget, there would not be any form of delay in its implementation.
He however, urged the National Assembly to reconsider the decision on his administration’s N23.7 trillion ‘ways and means’ loan request which the National Assembly had suspended pending when the executive would furnish it with more information.
President Buhari also challenged Ministries, Departments, Agencies and institutions within the government to rev up the revenues of the government.
“As this administration draws to a close, we will accelerate the implementation of critical measures aimed at further improving the Nigeria business environment and ensuring the welfare of our people” he stated.
