Prince Of Glory Schools Hold 4th Inter House Sports On 13 March At Command Sec. School, Ipaja

As part of its effort to combine academic excellence with sporting activities, the Prince of Glory Schools will hold its 4th Inter House Sports Competition on Friday, 13 March, 2020 at the premises of Command Secondary School, Ipaja, Lagos.


Proprietor of the Schools, Mr. Olatunji Omoyeni told P.M. EXPRESS that since inception over 25 years ago, the Prince of Glory Schools have maintained the standard which made the schools stand out among its peers.
To this end, the Inter house sports has been packaged in such away that it would add values to both the academic and sporting life of the students.

P.M. EXPRESS understands that five houses will compete for honours during the one day event which will be chaired by Mr. Feyi Ogoji, chairman UBA Statutory Audit and former Director of Operations of UBA.

The houses are Olanipekun House, Engr. Ayodele House, Olufemi Akintewe House, Olanigbogbo House and Omoyeni House.

Omoyeni said that all the Patrons of the Houses are expected to grace the event. They are Mr. Ola Olanipekun, SAN, former chairman of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Abuja chapter, who is the Patron of Olanipekun House. Engr. Felix Femi Ayodele,  Managing Director of FBG Engineering and Gilbratar Green Energy House is the Patron of Engr. Ayodele House. Mr.Olufemi Akintewe, a chartered accountant and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is the Patron of Olufemi Akintewe House. Apostle M.A. Olanigbogbo, chairman PFN, Alimosho, who is also the Chairman of Parents Teachers Association of the schools is the Patron of Olanigbogbo House, while Mr. Olatunji Omoyeni (FCA, FCTI, MIBC), the Proprietor of the Schools is the Patron of Omoyeni House.

Other dignitaries expected are Mrs. Bello, a Community Leader in Meiran area of Lagos state,  Major General Dapo Adebayo (rtd.), former Commandant of Nigerian Army Corps of Education and Managing Director of 7064 Security, Isheri Estate, Ogun State, Mr. James Ijotola, former Deputy Registrar, West African Examination Council (WAEC) and many others.

The last edition of the Inter house sports was won by Omoyeni House in 2008, while Olanigbogbo House won the 2005 edition.

Prince of Glory Schools situated at 2 Shola Ajala Street, Eleyin Bus Stop, Ikola Odunsi, 11 Ekoro Road, Moroga, Meiran, Lagos and 27 Olawuyi Street, Ikola Odunsi, Ipaja has been a reputable institution of qualitative learning in Lagos State. The schools have produced graduates occupying distinguished positions in Nigeria today.


P.M. EXPRESS reports that the Prince of Glory Schools have won the National Award in Spelling Competition thrice, coming third position in 2010, first position in 2011 and second position in 2012. It drew the attention of the Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the Noble Laureate , Prof. Wole Soyinka who honour the winner golden handshake. The Lagos State Ministry of Education, because of this exceptional feat, sent an official letter of commendation to the school.
