Principal Sent To Prison For Allegedly Kissing & Sexually Assault Student, 15, Inside School Premises

A 40-year old principal of Southfield Children Academy and College in Lagos State. Mr. Kehi Charles Sunday, has landed in trouble for allegedly luring and sexually molesting a 15-year old student by kissing and touching her inside the school premises.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mr. Sunday has been arrested and charged for sexual assault against the victim.
The incident happened at the school premises located at Awomodu Street, off Somolu Road, Lagos, on the 8th day of July, 2024.
According to the Police, the suspect allegedly lured the victim, who was an external candidate writing NECO examination in the school, into the Physics laboratory by seizing her phone and sexually assaulting her by kissing her lips and touching every vital parts of her body.
After the act, the victim went home and informed her parents about what happened. The parents then reported the matter to the Police at Bariga Police Division. The operatives moved into action, arrested the suspect and detained him for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Yaba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Kehi Charles Sunday ‘m’ of No. 1 Alhaji Kareem Street, Ketu, Lagos State, a principal of Southfield Children Academy And College situated at Awomodu Street, off Somolu Road, Lagos, on the 8th day of July 2024 in the Yaba Magisterial District, during the school hours, did lure one Sarah Oluwamayokun Ajiboye ‘f’ aged 15 years old, an external candidate writing NECO examination in your school, into the Physics laboratory by seizing her phone and sexually assaulted her by kissing her lips and touching every vital parts of her body and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 263 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
