In a solemn act of faith and commitment, the leading All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial hopeful for Anambra 2025 and Founder of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, dedicated his governorship ambition to God Almighty during a special Mass at Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, Dunukofia LGA.

The mass, presided over by fiery Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma (Ebubemuonso), drew a large congregation, including members of the Dikeora Provisional Primary Election Campaign Council, the Dikeora Political Family, friends, and well-wishers.

During his homily, Fr. Obimma commended Prof. Okonkwo’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings to remarkable success, describing him as a role model for young people. Preaching on the topic “There Is No Success Without Suffering,” he recounted Okonkwo’s struggles and triumphs, urging the youth to draw motivation from his perseverance, determination and success.

He described Prof. Okonkwo as a visionary and progressive mind with the ability to drive meaningful change, highlighting his strong economic foundation and citing United Nigeria Airlines success as a testament to his potential.

“I blessed the first aircraft of United Nigeria Airlines and prophesied that it would lead to more aircrafts. Today, the airline is not just growing but providing jobs for our youths and expatriate workers,” Fr. Obimma remarked.

He further emphasized Okonkwo’s longstanding commitment to humanity, charity, and the Church, expressing confidence that God would grant him victory over his adversaries. He assured that the battles against him had already been won.

At the end of the Mass, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo expressed gratitude and reaffirmed that his governorship ambition is driven by divine purpose rather than personal gain.

“The power I seek is the power that comes from God, not man. My ambition is not driven by desperation but by a deep passion to serve God and humanity. All I ask for are your prayers and support. God has already perfected all things, and when the time comes, we will return here to give thanks.”

With faith as his foundation and service as his mission, Prof. Okonkwo remains steadfast in his journey to lead Anambra State into a new era of progress, security, job creation, economic development, and the empowerment of youth.
