Public Notice: Re:Security Alert On Isheri Olofin Kingdom Under Idimu

Dear Sir,

OPEN LETTER ON FALSE SECURITY ALERT ON ISHERI OLOFIN KINGDOM

Our attention has been drawn to an advertorial dated 20th August, 2018, in the media space sponsored by one dubious and notorious Alhaji Samsideen Alada Adebimpe, who made malicious claims on the person of His Royal Majesty, Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun, the Onisheri of Isheri olofin kingdom, on his ascension to the throne as the 6th Oba of the Isheri Olofin kingdom in Alimosho Local Government area of Lagos State.

Ordinarily, we would not have responded because Alhaji Adebimpe has been a well known fugitive and wanted person by the security agencies including the Nigerian Police over his alleged criminal activities in the area.

However, for the avoidance of doubts and clarification, it became necessary to clear all the unsubstantiated claims by Adebimpe to disparage the monarch and the Isheri Olofin Kingdom that had been in existence for over 400 years before Adebimpe was born and came to Lagos.

(1.) Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun is one of the first class Obas in Lagos State, duly recognized by the Lagos State government up till today and had discharged his duties with honesty, fairness and transparency since he assumed the throne.

(2.) There was no time before and after he was crowned as the Oba of Isheri Olofin Kingdom that he had been found wanting or had any criminal records as purported by Alhaji Adebimpe that he forged documents in order to be crowned to sit on the throne.

(3.) The two communities namely Idimu Kingdom and Isheri Olofin Kingdom had been neighbours, shared common boundary and had lived peacefully before the issue of land disputes arose. For the sake of emphasis, the matter was taken to Lagos State High Court and it lasted for over 30 years before the court gave the landmark judgment in favour of Isheri Olofin Kingdom.

(4.) It should noted that Alhaji Adebimpe originally was not from Idimu or Isheri Olofin Kingdoms but only resided in Isheri Olofin where he bought landed properties, as such he cannot be in the position to state the history of the area and the boundary which the competent Lagos High Court had given a subsisting judgment in favour of Isheri Olofin.

(5.) Alhaji Adebimpe had made such claims, caused violence in the area in the past and he was invited by the police to prove his claims. He was unable to do so and was charged to court where he was remanded in prison but later granted bail. Since he was granted bail, he went into hiding and had refused to come to court to prove his claims

(6.) The residents especially landlords had since realised that that the land they occupied belonged to the Isheri Olofin Kingdom; they had resolved some of the issues that arose from the court judgment and they were living peacefully with the people of Isheri Olofin Kingdom.

(7.) We want to state categorically that Isheri Olofin Kingdom and all the neighbouring communities including Idimu, Ikotun, Igando, Shasha, were all living in peace and it is a verifiable fact as there had been no incidences of violence or breakdown of law and order in the entire area.

(8.) It should be noted that the issue of forged documents does not exist except in the imaginations of Alhaji Adebimpe, who was well known as a notorious land grabber and thug, that had tried to cause violence in the area but the residents disowned him and refused to follow his part of destruction.

(9.) It is on record that HRM Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun, had never tempered with any documents in the National Achieve having not worked there in all his entire civil service career before he retired from the public service or had access to government property to forge any.

(10.) We therefore urge the members of the public including the Presidency, Lagos State Government and security agencies to disregard Alhaji Adebimpe’s claims.

(11.) We are surprised that since Adebimpe had been making spurious allegations and claims against the Oba and the people of Isheri Olofin he has refused to appear before the law courts where he was sued to defend the claims and allegations.

(12.) It will interest members of the public to know that the same Alhaji Adebimpe who was suspected to be nursing a mental ailment had jumped bail severally and dodged existing bench warrants that had been issued on him by a Magistrate Court and two Lagos High Courts; he failed to appear but preferred to be throwing mudsling from his innumerable hideouts.

(13.) Alhaji Adebimpe, a renowned land grabber, whose grouse against the Oba and people of Isheri-Olofin had been the loss of his illicit job as a land agent to the judgment debtors, Olorunfunmi family of Idimu who lost a 32-year old land dispute case to the Oba and the people of Isheri-Olofin in a Lagos High Court judgment of May, 2012.

(14.) We finally state that it has been established over the years that the dubious Ibadan born land grabber is not only a pathological liar, but equally a pathological blackmailer and anything emanating from him should not be taken seriously.
