Like the popular saying that no one has ever become poor by giving. Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more because it is every man’s obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it.

And giving back to society is what this beautiful and stylish Olori Sekinat Aramide, wife of Lagos monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), the Elegushi of Ikateland has been doing since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

The Queen has been distributing stimulus relief package to communities within the Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom through her foundation ‘The Quality and Selfless Empowerment’, QSE Foundation.

She was in her element, putting on her regal to do what she knows how to do best when it comes to matters that are dear to the heart.

Since the announcement of total lockdown by the government to hinder the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the society, Olori Sekinat has used her QSE Foundation to put smiles on the faces of the less-privileged with distributions of food items to widows and single mothers in Eti-Osa local government area in Lagos State.

Now to cushion the effects of the extended lockdown, the Foundation has once again followed up from where they stop at their last outing of sharing palliatives to widows and single mothers.

They are extending the helping hand to five densely populated communities in Eti-Osa Local Government like Itedo, Gbara, Igbo-kushu, Ologolo, Iroko-awe, and Ilasan communities and even beyond her kingdom to distribute food items to families affected by the lockdown.

Queen Sekinat said the second round of distribution was necessitated by the calls of people from all these areas, asking the foundation for assistance in alleviating their challenges due to the lockdown; hence we have no choice than to assist and support them.

“Truly, I am overwhelmed by the calls for help from the people. I must confess that people genuinely need help at this time and we can’t just turn deaf ears, that is why we are doing this again, just some few days after we did the last one,” the Queen said.

She added that while the government is trying her best at this challenging time, well-meaning individuals should also assist and come to the aid of the people.

“I wish we all can do more for the people and reach as more people as we can,” she stated.

Olori Sekinat was joined by her friends including Ijeoma Ubosi, who is the wife of media mogul, Chris Ubosi.

They all also brought extra food packs which were also distributed to the needy at those communities visited.
