Randy Pastor Faces Trial Over Theft Of Secret Lover’s Money

The trial of 30-year old Pastor Daniel Joseph of the House of Mercy Church in Ikotun, who allegedly burgled his secret lover’s apartment and stole her N200,000,  has begun at the Magistrates’ court sitting in Ejigbo, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Enugu state-born Joseph who is married, allegedly lured another single woman, 38-year old Mimi Amaka Ibe into a relationship under the false pretence of converting her as a born-again Christian and marrying her later.
Unknown to Mimi who accepted the offer, Joseph was married and lived with his wife in another area of Ikotun.
Trouble  started after Mimi discovered that Joseph had a wife identified as Joy.
When Mimi confronted Joseph, he admitted having a wife and promised to send Joy away and settle down with her as his new wife.
Shocked by the discovery, Mimi told Joseph that she was no longer interested in the relationship and left.
Later, when Joseph’s wife  got to know what transpired between Mimi and her husband, she packed her belongings and left.
In retaliation, Joseph allegedly went to Mimi’s house at Ijegun area and burgled it.

The pastor allegedly stole the N200,000 cash she kept in her house.
An attempt to cart away all of Mimi’s property while she was away  was resisted by her neighbours.
He claimed that he bought those property and rented the apartment for her.

But Mimi denied that Joseph bought the property for her.
The incident happened at Ijegun where Mimi rented a self-contained apartment and lived alone before she met Joseph.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division and Joseph was arrested and charged to court with the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs J. O. E. Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail.
The trial which suffered several adjournments eventually commenced on Monday, 19 Sept. during which the complainant narrated what transpired between her and the defendant.
The matter was again adjourned till 5 November, 2016 for continuation of trial.
