A 20-year old self confessed female cultist, Miss Maryam Abiola,  has revealed that she had killed four persons and was ready to kill more before she was arrested by the police in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Maryam confessed that she took an oath administered by one native doctor, Mr. Adio Ogunremi, and that she was trained before she started killing.
She chose the option of killing after she was initiated into Eiye Confraternity by one Sodiq Oyewumi, who also trained her on how to handle guns to kill victims. She was also made the armoury of the cult group operating in Ilasamaja area of Lagos. Maryam said that she had no regret killing victims as she was also paid the sum of N10,000 each time for the job by Oyewumi who was their leader.
She narrated how she came to Lagos after she had dropped from secondary school and started living with Oyewumi who trained her to be a killer.  She said she did it successfully before she was arrested.
However, both the native doctor, Ogunremi and their leader Oyewumi were arrested by the police operatives alongside Maryam based on intelligence report available to the police.
Other five suspected members of the gang arrested were Ihuoma Emeka, 25, Ironka Junior, 22, Abdulrasak Yusuf, 32, Segun Ademola, 35 and Anu Akinowo.
They were paraded at the State Command by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, on Monday.
The police boss stated that the suspects were arrested following the rivalry cult fight between Oyewumi and Emeka in Alafia area of Mushin as a result of a reprisal attack over the death of of Oyewumi’s late brother, Waheed, who was shot dead by the group led by Emeka. However, the operatives of FSARS raced to the scene and arrested both leaders.

CP Edgal said that during interrogation, the leaders revealed the cause of the fight which led to the arrest of the native doctor, Ogunremi, who resided at 9 Godwin Omomus Street in Ilasan, which further led to the arrest of Maryam who was the armoury of the gang led by Oyewumi.
Maryam made confessional statements to the police which led to the arrest of other suspects but the box of the armoury was not recovered as the keeper, one Wasiu, was said to be on the run.
The police also recovered some arms and ammunition which had been kept at the Command as exhibits.
The CP said that the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.

P.M.EXPRESS asked Maryam if she knew what she was doing before her arrest; she replied that she saw her assignment to kill as a normal thing that she was engaged to do but that she had now realised it was bad and if given another chance that she will turn a new leaf.
