Redeemed Church Sacks Pastor To Save Female Members

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has been negatively put in the spotlight recently because of some undesirable developments. 

First, it was for the murder of Uwa Omozuwa, a 100 level Microbiology student of the University of Benin inside the auditorium of the Church parish in Benin City.

Then an unfortunate incident of sexual advances made on a married female member by an adulterous Pastor of the Church in Akure, Ondo State caught naked in a well-trended video on the social media. 

The question on the minds of many is why the unusual turn out of events especially why should a Pastor mentored by the highly revered Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Church be involved in such an act of recklessness.

However, the Church has sacked the confessed Assistant Pastor, Mr. Godwin Bakare and relieved him of all ministerial duties in the mission over the alleged adultery.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Bakare was accused of attempting to sleep with the married woman, a member of the parish he pastored, to which he confessed and asked for forgiveness.

The leadership of RCCG was shocked and has condemned the immoral act and distanced itself from such an act.

Bakare has been directed to return all official items in his custody to serve as a deterrent to other Pastors who pollute the body of Christ.
