On Sunday night, Mavin Records singer, Reekado Banks entertained his fans in Port Harcourt, River State with a variety of his hit songs at the Star/Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL post match concert, held at Star Fan Park inside the Liberation Stadium.
Earlier, the home team Rivers United had gave the fans a delightful match to behold as they defeated defending champions Enugu Rangers in a 1 goal to nil on Sunday evening.
However, at the concert, as soon as the ‘Small Boy Turn Biggy Man’ crooner stepped on stage, the crowd went ecstatic with jubilation.
A major highlight of the Reekado’s performance was when he performed his hit single ‘Katapot’, which left many of his fans in the stadium green with emotion.
Reekado went on to thrill the fans with other hit songs from his repertoire including ‘Standard’, ‘Oluwa ni’, ‘Problem’, and ‘Sugar Baby’.
The Port Harcourt concert marked the beginning of Star Lager Beer’s activation with a fan park during some of NPFL matches across Nigeria.
There were numerous prizes such as refrigerators, generators and flat screen televisions and more won at the Star Fan Park and fans were provided with refreshments by Star lager beer.
Since the 2016 partnership announcement with NPFL, Star Lager Beer has continued to empower the Nigerian football community with sustained involvement of fans and their interest in the matches within the Nigerian league tournament.
