Tranmere Rovers teenage sensation, Victor Alyanyi, has spoken of his strong desire to play for the Nigerian national team.

Victor Alyanyi, who lives in the United Kingdom but is of Nigerian descent having been born to parents from Edo State, is a talented and exciting player who has caught the fancy of not a few football scouts, coaches and clubs in England.

Bursting with vim and vitality, Victor Alyanyi s on the radar of some top clubs in England, with the likes of Blackburn Rovers nursing ambitions of pricing the youngster in the coming future.

While speculations around the teenage wonderkid’s next destination are still hazy, one issue that Victor Alyanyi has surely made up his mind on is his national team commitment,

Speaking in an interview from his base in the United Kingdom, Alyanyi said he counts it a privilege to play in the green and white stripes of Nigeria.

In the words of Victor Alyanyi, “I will love to play for the Nigerian national team. It will be privileged to play for the country which my roots go back to”.

Speaking further, Alyanyi said, “playing for the Nigerian national team will be a huge honour. It’s something that I have always dreamed of. Nigeria has such a rich football history and growing up, I’ve always prayed to represent the Nigerian national team. It has always been my goal to be part of that rich legacy and contribute to the future success of the national team”.

Victor Alyanyi said he was proud of his Nigerian heritage, pointing out that, “I’m incredibly proud of my Nigerian roots and representing my country will mean the world to me.”.

Victor Alyanyi said he is conscious that his football journey would not be a walk in the park, noting that, “I know that it is not an easy journey but I will keep working hard to improve my game so I can put on the green jersey and playing against some of the best players from Africa and the world is something that motivates me every day.

“If the opportunity comes, I will give everything up for Nigeria and I hope to make the fans proud by helping the team achieve great things on the international stage”, added Victor Alyanyi.
