In a condolence message today in Ibadan, Akande-Sadipe noted that Mr. Oladapo was more than a broadcaster; he was a consummate professional whose voice, insight and commitment to ethical journalism helped shape public discourse and inspired a generation of media practitioners.
She said “his contributions to broadcasting earned him respect across professional and social divides.”
The lawmaker, who Chairs the House committee on Humanitarian services recalled Oladapo’s passion for her political success, stressing that his work strengthened democracy and gave a voice to the voiceless.
According to her, “his calm but firm delivery and depth of knowledge set him apart as one of the most dependable voices in the broadcast space.”
Akande-Sadipe extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the late broadcaster, urging them to take solace in the impactful life he lived and the indelible legacy he left behind.
She prayed for God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
She added that although Mr. Kola Oladapo may be gone, his contributions to the media profession and the values he stood for will continue to resonate for years to come.
“Nigeria has lost an icon,” she said, “but his voice will never be forgotten.”
