To revise a State budget is not so easy a task, especially where few months down the line a new budget is expected to be birthed. This process is painstaking and often very rigorous, rife with figures that must match expected outcomes.
This is the cross of a man, who promised to hit the ground running from the day 1, a man who believes that if it cannot be measured, it cannot be fixed. The brighter side of this exercise for Soludo is the fact that he is making everyday count as he leads the people on a journey to a Liveable and Prosperous Homeland – a smart mega city.
Indeed, the Late Joe Anatune (God bless his soul), was right when he described Soludo as “the man in a hurry to make a difference”. Bidding time, whilst waiting for the initial 2022 budget appropriation to live out its life span was such an easy way out. However, Sóludo was not elected to do easy things, but to make things easy; including redesigning the fate of millions of ndị Anambra trapped in the cycle of poverty.
Soludo is that Employee with a clear understanding of his job description, and like a haughty Employer, ndị Anambra would not entertain any form of excuse in the line of duty. When he (Soludo) promised a creative-destruction, it became obvious that the status quo was in trouble. Indeed, the Solution is Here!
