CYRIACUS IZUEKWE
A social critic and Human Rights activist, Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, has extolled the unique virtues of first female bishop in South East, Bishop Edith Elisha Ezenekwe, for her humanitarian and selfless services to God.
Ezekwueme, in a statement made available to P.M.EXPRESS, noted that Bishop Ezenekwe has exhibited good motive in the service of God and humanity through love, empathy, compassion, kindness, generosity and selfless services.
“Her empowerment of over 1,000 widows and awards of scholarship to indigent students deserved commendation and emulation” he said.
Ezekwueme said such selfless sacrifices are worthy of commendation and encouragement in order to motivate others.
“Bishop Ezenekwe believes in the assertion of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr that any spiritual emancipation without socio-economic and political emancipation is not complete.”
Ezekwueme, who is also CLO Chairman in Anambra State, described Bishop Ezenekwe, who is presiding bishop of Brethren Gathering Ministry and United Nations Peace Ambassador, as Dorcas and St Mother Theresa of our time.
“It is pertinent to note that there is no blessing in getting, receiving and having but only in giving and sharing. Bishop Ezenekwe has brought hope, succour and comfort to the poor, oppressed, rejected and downtrodden. Her natural inclination to serve and not to be served singles her out as a unique and rare personality. I appeal to other men and women of God and wealthy individuals to emulate her” Ezekwueme posited.
