The awards were presented at a colourful ceremony in Lagos, which brought together top marketing professionals, brand managers, business executives and industry stakeholders to celebrate excellence in Nigeria’s integrated marketing communications space.
Organisers of the Marketing Edge Awards said Rite Foods was honoured for consistently demonstrating innovation in product development, maintaining high manufacturing standards, and showing strong commitment to environmentally responsible business operations.
The company, known for popular brands such as Bigi drinks, Rite sausages and Bigi water, has in recent years intensified its focus on sustainability by investing in energy-efficient production systems, waste reduction initiatives and responsible sourcing.
The latest double honour comes shortly after another major milestone for the company’s Chairman, Dr. Sulaiman Adegunwa, who was named Industrialist of the Year 2025 by Vanguard Media Limited.
Vanguard, in its citation, described Adegunwa as a visionary entrepreneur whose leadership has transformed Rite Foods into a major player in Nigeria’s Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, creating jobs and driving local manufacturing growth.
Adegunwa, a respected industrialist and philanthropist, has been widely credited for building a proudly Nigerian brand that competes favourably with multinational companies in the food and beverage market.
Industry analysts say the back-to-back recognitions highlight the growing influence of Rite Foods in shaping the future of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector, especially at a time when local production and sustainability are gaining national attention.
According to stakeholders, the company’s continued investment in its workforce, state-of-the-art factory in Ososa, Ogun State, and customer-focused innovation has positioned it as a model for responsible corporate leadership.
The Marketing Edge Awards jury noted that Rite Foods stood out for its ability to combine business growth with social and environmental responsibility, a balance many companies struggle to achieve.
Reacting to the awards, management of the company expressed appreciation to the organisers, noting that the recognition would further motivate the team to uphold quality, innovation and sustainability across all operations.
The company restated its commitment to deepening its impact in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry through continuous product improvement, youth empowerment and community development initiatives.
With the latest honours, Rite Foods says it will not relent in its drive to promote made-in-Nigeria excellence while contributing to economic growth and environmental protection.
