Armed robbers may have elevated their operation tactics by applying scientific method; this followed a recent discovery in Lagos where they were arrested for using chemical substances as weapons during operations.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the police recently shockingly uncovered and arrested suspected armed robbers who specialized in using the chemical substances to rob innocent people in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the two suspects, Teslim Abiodun and Kazeem Akolade, were arrested based on high powered intelligence report on their activities in the State. They were said to have been using the substances to gain access to any vehicle through their doors and window glasses and steal available items inside.

This development was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edgal, at the State Command, Lagos. The suspects were arrested and paraded with other criminal elements arrested in various areas of the state.

Mr. Edgal was particular about the suspects who he described as gang of robbers with peculiar operational method. The police boss said that the suspects specialized in breaking into vehicles by using the chemical substances to steal their valuables.
He explained that once the suspects poured it on the window glasses or windscreens, they will automatically melt the glasses away enabling them to have easy access. The police was unable to describe the content of the substances because the laboratory test had not been carried out.

However, the suspects confessed and admitted the efficacy of the substances which they said they had used to gain access to vehicles and stole valuables from victims.

CP Edgal said that the police recovered about 8 laptop computers suspected to have been stolen from victims through their sharp practices as exhibits.
He said that the suspects will be charged to court after conducting laboratory test on the substances and the conclusion of investigations.
