In Lagos, Chief Magistrate Obaka is now counting her loses after robbers burgled her house, carted away some properties and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Grace Baptist Street, Oke- Afa area of Ejigbo, where she resides with her family.
According to Police sources, the robbers burgled the house and carted away properties including power generating set, clothes and other properties before escaping.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division, who moved into action and arrested one of the suspects, Sodiq Mubak and detained him at the station for interrogation.
While being interrogated, the suspect admitted and confessed he was not alone as there were other accomplices, who went alongside for the operation.
The Police however, did not state if they recovered the stolen items or not but found the suspect culpable.He was subsequently charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing.
He pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, presented the facts of the matter and asked the Court to sentence him accordingly to serve as deterrent to those who may want to commit such in future.
The Presiding Magistrate, E.O. Ogunkanmi, found him guilty as charged and sentenced him to two years imprisonment without an option of fine. He was then moved to the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, where he will spend the prison terms.
