Robbers Burgle Primary Health Center, Cart Away N5m Property During Operation

Robbers, on 8th September, 2025, invaded the Primary Health Centre of Tedi Muwo, Lagos State and carted away property worth N5m during the operation.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that one of the suspects, Japhet Adekunle, has been arrested and now facing serious charges for his alleged involvement in the brazen break-in at the Primary Health Centre.
According to the Police,  the 28-year old Japhet and his accomplices allegedly conspired to steal from the health centre, breaking in and making away with valuable equipment, including a pumping machine, storex tank, electrical wires, and more, worth a staggering N5 million.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Japhet Adekunle ‘m’ and others still at large on or before the 8th day of September, 2025, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Japhet Adekunle ‘m’ and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did break and enter into the Primary Health Centre of Tedi Muwo, Lagos State, with the intend to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and publishable under Section 309 of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, Japhet Adekunle ‘m’ and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did enter into the Primary Health Centre of Tedi, Ojo Lagos and stealing the following items: pumping machine, storex tank, Electrical wires, two Burglary proof, granite stone and sand that valued the sum of Five Million Naira (N5,000.000.00) and thereby committed an offence contrary to and publishable under Section 278 of the criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Esther Adesulu, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, O.M. Ogun, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
