It was double jeopardy for patients, who went to the hospital, were admitted for treatment and then robbers invaded the place, tortured and robbed them on their sick beds.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at a private hospital in Ibafo area of Ogun State.
The bandits reportedly dispossessed the patients and the staff of their valuables and were escaping before they ran out of luck.
While escaping, three of the suspects were apprehended by Police operatives from Ogun State Command.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who said that the suspects were in Police custody.
He explained that the armed robbery gang was arrested after invading a hospital in Ogun State and stealing from the patients and staff present that night.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said that the armed robbers, apart from dispossessing patients and staff of the hospital of their belongings, they as well subjected them to mental torture.
The suspects, identified as Folarin Azeez (aka Hyper) 25; Temitope Bolariwa (aka Tincan); 24, and Kolade Ahmed (30), were later arrested.
Items recovered from them were: 12 different types of Android phones and iPhones as well as wrist watches among others.
Oyeyemi said that the suspects will be charged before the Court after the conclusion of investigations.
