Former Governor of Rivers State and erstwhile Minister of Transportation, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CON, was in Abia State to attend the official launch of the Formal Health Sector Insurance Scheme.
The event was hosted by the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti.
In his remarks, Amaechi praised Governor Otti for his visionary leadership and dedication to improving the lives of Abians through quality healthcare delivery.
“This initiative is not just a policy document; it is a promise to every father, mother, and child that their health matters. I congratulate Governor Otti for leading with compassion and courage,” Amaechi stated.
The occasion also attracted prominent personalities, including former President of Nigeria, *Chief Olusegun Obasanjo*, GCFR, alongside an array of notable dignitaries from across the country.
Later in the day, Governor Otti hosted Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to a dinner at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia, following the commissioning of the newly reconstructed 46.3-kilometre Umuahia-Uzoakoli-Abiriba-Ohafia Road.
The dinner was graced by several dignitaries including Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Federal and State lawmakers alongside other esteemed guests.
