Winners of the mPulse online essay competition with MTN staff
It was a time of joy at the 2019 National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, day as telecom giant, MTN, rewarded teachers with a sum of N500,000.
The event is a recognition and celebration of teachers and proprietors and to chart a new course for the coming year.
To support the purpose, MTN organised an online essay competition for the teachers on the topic, “How Best to Improve Digital Education in Nigeria” with about 50 entries were registered in the keenly contested competition.
The top three entries were rewarded with cash prizes.
In third place, Amaka Mbaegbu from New Fountain Secondary School was rewarded with the sum of one hundred thousand Naira.
Kalu Godwin who teaches at Hopebay College came second and was rewarded with a cash prize of N150,000.
In first position, from Jolas Private School, was Hauwa Muhammad Danjuma who received a sum of N250,000.
The winners expressed their gratitude to MTN and encouraged the ICT giant to keep investing in Nigerian education.
MTN has created mPulse for teens and tweens to help complement and improve the standard of education in Nigeria.
The platform, rich with other benefits, has a website that contains educative digital contents.
