Seeing Is Believing: Lagos Govt Gives Instant Monetary Rewards To Medal Winners At Edo 2020 (PHOTOS)

To Lagos State Government, there is always rewards for hardwork especially when there is laurels to show for your efforts. The welfare of the athletes is also taking as a priority in the adminstration and development of sports in the state.


This prompted the Executive Governor or Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu through the Lagos State Sports Commission to ensure that athletes must be motivated to do the state proud in the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival holding in Benin City.

No matter how small it is, the show of love and the motivation that the management realises the sweat and sacrifice of the athletes on the field of play must be showed.


That is why at the end of each game in the festival, any medal winner, immediately he or she is officially decorated by the festival organisers with the colour of the medal won, the officials assigned by the Lagos State Sports Commission led by Mr. Moses Kolawole, Director, Sports Development of the Commission will step in to do the needful for the victorious athletes by giving them the instant cash awards of N10, 000, N15, 000 and N25, 000 to bronze, silver and gold winners respectively.


P. M. EXPRESS reports that the athletes have been receiving these instant cash rewards package with excitement and joy, thanking Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Sports Commission for believing in them and giving that sense of belonging to motivate them to do more for the state.
