The chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola, has expressed great sadness at the demise of Arakurin Olurotimi Akeredolu, SAN the governor of Ondo State, following a protracted ill health.
In a statement issued in Abuja following the confirmation of the demise of the two-term governor, Senator Adeola described the death of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria as a great loss not only to the Yoruba race of the South West but the Nigeria nation adding that his great contributions to national development are sterling legacies worthy of emulation.
“We have lost a great legal mind and a forthright democrat whose contributions to our democratic and economic development are immeasurable. He was a fighter for safety and security of not only Yorubas in South west but all Nigerians resident in his state when he was a governor” the Senator stated.
The chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriation prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the Arakurin Akeredolu and the fortitude for the immediate family to bear the irreparable loss.
