The chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has commiserated with the family of Chief Alani Bankole and Rt. Hon Dimeji Bankole on the demise of Alhaja Monsurat Bankole at the age of 78.
Late Alhaja Bankole was the wife of Chief Bankole, a prominent national politician and Egba High Chief, and mother of Rt. Hon. Bankole, the former Speaker of House of Representatives.
In a condolence message to the family, Senator Adeola stated it is sad and regrettable that the family lost its matriarch at this time when she was still contributing to national development as a mother, grand mother and role model for young women in the society adding that her loss is not only a great loss to the family but also the community of Muslim women, Ogun State and indeed, Nigeria.
“Alhaja Bankole was a virtuous Muslim woman, who raised great children that are contributing to national development. Her demise is a great loss to her family and Nigeria” the Senator stated.
Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and the fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss of a beloved matriarch.
