The lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, has commiserated with his constituents and victims of a destructive rainstorm that affected some parts of Ipokia Local Government Area of his senatorial district with Ilase community recording a fatality and suffering massive destruction of private and public properties.
In a commiseration message, the senator expressed profound sadness at the loss of life of a student, Master Timothy Amosun, a 14- years old JSS 3 student in one of the collapsed classrooms of Mayigi Community Comprehensive High School, Ilase, adding that it is highly regrettable that in addition to the death of the student and injuries to many others, the natural disaster completely destroyed well over 40 public and private buildings in the community.
While condoling the parents of the young boy that lost his life in the daylight storm, Senator Adeola pledged to liaise with the traditional ruler of the town of Ilase, Oba John Adewale Olaifa, on way to provide succour to all the victims of the disaster as well reconstruction of damaged properties through relevant government agencies.
The Senator prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the innocent student and the fortitude for his parent and family to bear the unfortunate and irreparable loss of a beloved.
