The Chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, has congratulated the Governor-Elect of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his well- deserved victory saying his election reflected the true will of the people of Edo State.
Senator Adeola said he has no doubt in his mind that the people of Edo State will soon begin to enjoy the fruits of good governance once the administration of the Governor-Elect kicks off stressing that from his interactions with the Governor-Elect in the Senate as colleagues, he is happy for the people of Edo state in their choice of a silent achiever and humane person.
“I want to congratulate my colleague and friend, Distinguished Senator Okpebholo and the good people of Edo State on the conduct the governorship election and the election of an All Progressives Congress, APC, governor-elect. I am very optimistic that with the return of Edo State to the progressives fold, the good people of Edo State will soon begin to enjoy a hitherto denied good governance” he stated.
The Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriations wishes Edo State a successful transition from one administration to another stressing that the winner should be magnanimous in victory while the loser should imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship in the months and years ahead.
