As Aremo Olusegun Osoba, the former governor of Ogun State and national leader of APC marks his 85th birthday, Senator (Dr) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (APC, Ogun West), the chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations has felicitated with him on his birthday describing him as an iconic Leader and Father who has paid his dues for the positive development of Nigeria.
It will be recalled that Aremo Osoba, the Akinrogun of Egbaland, used the weekend before his Monday 15th July 85th birthday to make a public presentation of yet another historic book, “My Life in Public Eye”.
Senator Adeola, in a statement, said that Ogun State and indeed Nigeria cannot forget the indelible roles of Aremo Osoba in the socio-political and economic development of Nigeria adding that “Your famous contributions to the development of the journalism profession at all levels in Nigeria is widely acknowledged and worthy of celebration anywhere in the world”.
The senator stated that in public service of Nigeria, Chief Osoba’s work as crack investigative reporter at home and abroad as well as leadership of various media organizations and service as a two-term governor of Ogun State and his various roles in the democratic struggles of the political history of Nigeria remains commendable and worthy of emulation.
Senator Adeola prayed for Aremo Osoba to continue to live long in good health and divine wisdom for more positive contribution to the nation and human race.
